Located near Blackduck Lake along the northwest edge of the Chippewa National Forest (just 25 miles north of Bemidji), Blackduck is known for its unique recreational opportunities and scenic attractions. The Continental Divide is located just outside Blackduck city limits. Due to this, many people consider the town to be located at the top of the world. The waters north of the divide flow into Canada's Hudson Bay, while waters south flow to the Gulf of Mexico.
